Janet Yanito Photo

Client:

Janet Yanito

The home for Janet Yanito was created with 23 pairs of hands. The home is 1000 sq. ft and includes a shade structure and a small artist studio. Janet holds many jobs, but her true inspiration is as a potter. The studio will give her space to grow her artistry and her income.

Students used recycled barn wood for siding on the residence. A load bearing straw bale structure covered with natural plaster creates the pottery studio. All light fixtures, tables, a countertop, doors, curtains, faucets and sink are custom made from re-purposed material.
