We’ve done some work. We’re gonna do some more. In the rush to complete tasks before the dedication (saturday) I haven’t taken pictures of everything that’s been done. Here’s a sample though.

Some old news, we finished our tire wall to the entrance of the house.

Also Mitch graded the site.
Recently we finished the plywood in the trombe wall area and one of the bedrooms.

Door hanging crew. Before the memorial weekend celebration – and subsequent hangover period – Mark Haslam built this shelf for us. Soon it will be set into a sheathed wall. Thanks Mark.

The latest DBB house still looks good in strong daylight. I think the higher contrast shadows that we didn’t have yesterday helps the texture stand out.
Another update from Caroline’s House…
Carl, John, Matt, and Tristan installed a hand water pump for the cistern at Caroline’s house. She is still without electricity so a generous donation of the pump by Mark and Libby Haslam really helps them out. Caroline and Audrey can now easily access the full cistern to help water their new plants and other needs.

Three of the four generations of Bluffers came down for the Memorial Day weekend. Suffice to say, Swindel started this morning off with a PBR.

So, it’s no Caroline house, but I’m a little biased. The details come together well on the house and material transitions and connections look great.

Finish Plaster! All we have for major exterior work on the house itself are the caps on the plastered walls.

Over the past few days Hunter and Eric have been detailing the plywood walls and putting together the kitchen.

Corrugated to corrugated connection with angle iron

Yes, we finished the base coat of the plaster today. I never want to see foam again.
