We put another life into old palettes. Now they appear.
Preston worked with Mike on the palette for the exterior wall.
-
Slim worked with the windows group, Thomas, Backe and Jeff to custom windows.
Yesterday was a bit chilly and deathly windy (just ask Nick who had a close encounter with a piece of OSB flying through the air). Nevertheless, we put up soffit, installed window portals, prepped the palate panels, installed the stairs and started installing the exterior finish on the east side (or west side according to Cindy). Today (although pictures are not shown), we finished the soffit, installed windows and continued to prep every side of the exterior for finish work.
Daniel and Christian put beautiful texture to aluminium sheets with sand blaster.
After that he put on goggle to cut onion for Japanese curry!
Here are some pictures of the front stairs
In lieu of the many dedications The Crew has received via the local high school radio station (from Slim and Grizz), we’d like to dedicate this blog to them…

….and yes, we are using palates as the exterior finish, but no, they won’t look like this….
Stay Tuned.
Over the past couple of days, the shed has acquired a cedar shading device (aka brise-soleil), vents, soffit and the beginnings of a north facade clad with salvaged barnwood and aluminum. We hope to complete the shed soon and look forward to installing the beer bottle walls that face east and west.
We would like to thank some of our sponsors for all of your recent donations.
Thank you 3-form, Big D Construction, and Utah Metal Works.
Thanks for updating everyone – all is beginning to shape up nicely. have to comment though – beer bottle walls? I gotta see this. I assume the bottles are empty? lol
