Today was our first day back for this two week trip which means only one thing: Monday morning meeting! This is where we all sit down, discuss any updates from different groups and then set goals for the next two weeks. It helps us keep everything in perspective as we head off to the site. This trip’s goals include: finish the exterior of the studio, finish insulation of studio, residence and bathhouse, finish the exterior of the residence, finish interior framing of the residence, rough plumbing and electrical, begin interior of the studio. These may seem like a lot of goals, but you have to remember that there are two weeks in which we can accomplish these things. Not to mention that there are twenty of us. Oh and because of the University’s spring break we will have somewhere around twenty extra hands here on site over the next little while.

After the goals were set it was off to work! A group went off to the site to get things started framing, cladding, and digging. A group stayed on site to get doors rolling and a group went to Blanding to answer phone calls and collect materials.

Today back on the Scorup property a new part of a continuing project began. The team for the spray foam insulation team arrived today and quickly got to work! They preped everything, doned those beautiful blue suits and then insulated the ceilings of the bath house. All in all, it was a beautiful, productive day!
A special thanks to the Icynene Insulation Systems crew for helping keep all of us a little warmer!
